We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Senior Construction Planner to join our dynamic team in Nagothane. The successful candidate will be instrumental in developing, monitoring, and updating comprehensive project schedules for large-scale construction and industrial projects. This pivotal role demands a deep understanding of construction methodologies, critical path analysis, and advanced planning software to ensure projects are delivered efficiently, on time, and within budget. The Senior Construction Planner will play a key role in coordinating with various stakeholders, identifying potential risks, and implementing effective mitigation strategies to maintain project momentum and achieve successful outcomes.
- Develop, maintain, and update detailed project schedules using industry-standard planning software such as Primavera P6.
- Conduct critical path analysis to identify potential delays and proactively develop recovery plans and acceleration options.
- Collaborate closely with project managers, engineers, contractors, and other stakeholders to gather necessary information for accurate schedule development and timely updates.
- Monitor project progress against the baseline schedule, identify variances, analyze root causes, and report on performance.
- Prepare and present regular progress reports, look-ahead schedules, and earned value analysis to project management, clients, and other relevant parties.
- Analyze resource requirements including manpower, equipment, and materials, and integrate them effectively into the project schedule to optimize utilization.
- Identify and assess potential project risks, develop robust mitigation strategies, and incorporate them into the planning process.
- Participate actively in project reviews, progress meetings, and provide expert advice on scheduling, sequencing, and constructability issues.
- Ensure compliance with project specifications, contractual obligations, and quality standards throughout the planning and scheduling process.
- Implement and manage change control procedures related to project schedules, assessing impacts and updating plans accordingly.
- Mentor and guide junior planners, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and best practices in project planning and control.
- Develop and maintain project dashboards and key performance indicators (KPIs) for schedule performance.
