Job Summary
The Manager on Duty will be responsible for overseeing the hospital’s day-to-day operations during the assigned shift, ensuring smooth coordination between departments and maintaining high standards of patient care, service quality, safety, and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate hospital operations during the assigned shift.
- Act as the primary point of contact for patients, attendants, doctors, and staff for operational concerns.
- Coordinate with Front Office, Nursing, Billing, Pharmacy, Laboratory, Radiology, Housekeeping, Security, and other departments.
- Monitor patient flow, admissions, discharges, transfers, and bed availability.
- Handle and resolve patient/attendant complaints and service-related issues promptly.
- Escalate critical clinical, operational, or administrative issues to the appropriate senior authority.
- Ensure proper communication and coordination during emergencies and critical situations.
- Monitor hospital facilities, cleanliness, security, equipment availability, and overall service standards.
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies, SOPs, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Conduct regular rounds of the hospital and identify operational gaps.
- Prepare and maintain shift reports, incident reports, and other operational documentation.
- Ensure proper handover between shifts and communicate pending issues to the next MOD/team.
- Monitor staff discipline, attendance, and adherence to hospital protocols.
- Coordinate with doctors and clinical teams to facilitate smooth patient services.
- Support quality improvement and patient-experience initiatives.
- Participate in emergency preparedness, disaster management, and other hospital drills.
- Perform additional responsibilities assigned by Hospital Administration/Management.
Candidate Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Hospital Administration, Healthcare Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 3–4 years of relevant experience in hospital operations/administration, preferably with MOD or supervisory experience.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
- Good knowledge of hospital workflows and multidisciplinary coordination.
- Ability to handle complaints, emergencies, and stressful situations professionally.
- Good decision-making and problem-solving abilities.
- Basic knowledge of hospital information systems (HIS) and MS Office.
- Willingness to work in rotational shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays when required.
Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
