As the organization continues to expand its product portfolio across thermal storage, refrigerated logistics, and cold room solutions, it is looking for a hands-on and detail-oriented Design Engineer to support the development, enhancement, and execution of high-quality engineering designs.
Role Overview
The Design Engineer will be responsible for creating, developing, and improving mechanical, thermal, and structural designs for cold chain products and solutions. The role requires strong design fundamentals, proficiency in design software, problem-solving skills, and the ability to collaborate with manufacturing, projects, procurement, quality, and service teams.

Key ResponsibilitiesDesign & Product Development
- Prepare 2D drawings, 3D models, layouts, assemblies, and detailed manufacturing drawings.
- Design components and systems for cold chain products, thermal storage systems, refrigerated units, and cold rooms.
- Support new product development, product customization, and continuous product improvement.
- Create BOMs, design specifications, technical documentation, and engineering change notes.
- Ensure designs are practical, manufacturable, cost-effective, and aligned with quality standards.
Cold Room & Project Design Support
- Prepare design layouts for cold rooms, insulation systems, refrigeration integration, doors, panels, flooring, and related accessories.
- Support site-specific design adaptations based on customer requirements, site conditions, and project needs.
- Coordinate with project and installation teams to resolve design-related issues during execution.
Cross-functional Coordination
- Work closely with production, procurement, quality, project, and service teams to ensure smooth design-to-manufacturing execution.
- Support vendor development by providing technical drawings, specifications, and clarifications.
- Assist production teams in resolving design, assembly, and fitment-related challenges.
- Coordinate with quality teams to incorporate feedback and improve product reliability.
Testing, Improvement & Documentation
- Participate in prototype development, testing, validation, and design refinement.
- Analyze failures, field feedback, and service issues to recommend design improvements.
- Maintain records of drawings, revisions, BOMs, and technical documentation.
- Ensure compliance with engineering, safety, and customer requirements.
Required Skills & Competencies
- Strong knowledge of mechanical design, fabrication, sheet metal, structures, assemblies, and manufacturing processes.
- Understanding of refrigeration, HVAC, thermal systems, insulation, or cold chain applications is an advantage.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and SolidWorks.
- Ability to prepare detailed drawings, BOMs, layouts, and technical documents.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Practical understanding of manufacturing constraints, material selection, and cost optimization.
- Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams in a dynamic environment.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
- High ownership, attention to detail, and execution-focused approach.
Qualifications
- B.E./B.Tech/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering, Refrigeration & Air Conditioning, or a related field.
- Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in product design, mechanical design, cold rooms, HVAC, refrigeration, manufacturing, or industrial equipment design.
- Experience in cold chain, refrigeration, CleanTech, manufacturing, or project-based engineering companies will be preferred.

Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
