A restaurant steward is responsible for maintaining cleanliness, assisting wait staff, and supporting kitchen operations. Key duties include washing dishes, cleaning and sanitizing all areas, stocking service stations, and helping with food preparation. Stewards must also ensure proper sanitation standards are met and help with tasks like setting up and clearing tables.
Core responsibilities :
Cleaning and sanitation: Wash dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment; clean floors, counters, and preparation areas; ensure all areas, including dining and public spaces, are kept clean and sanitary.
Customer and server assistance: Assist wait staff by stocking service stations with napkins, utensils, and condiments; greet and seat guests; refill water glasses; and help clear tables.
Restocking: Monitor and replenish supplies for both the kitchen and the dining area, such as condiments, napkins, and trays.
Kitchen support: Assist kitchen staff with basic food preparation, such as making salads or desserts.
Waste management: Dispose of trash and recycling in a sanitary manner.
Opening and closing: Assist with opening and closing duties for both the kitchen and dining areas.
Pay: ₹8,233.07 - ₹25,000.00 per month
