About the Role
We are looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer to join our product development team. The candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, prototyping, testing, and improving mechanical components and assemblies for innovative products and robotic systems.
The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of mechanical design, 3D CAD modelling, manufacturing processes, material selection, and engineering drawings.
Key Responsibilities
* Design and develop mechanical components, assemblies, and mechanisms for new and existing products.
* Create 3D models, 2D drawings, and detailed manufacturing drawings using CAD software.
* Develop concepts and convert them into manufacturable mechanical designs.
* Perform basic engineering calculations, tolerance analysis, and mechanism analysis.
* Select suitable materials, components, fasteners, and manufacturing processes.
* Prepare and maintain BOM (Bill of Materials) and engineering documentation.
* Work closely with production, electrical, embedded, and other engineering teams during product development.
* Develop prototypes and conduct mechanical testing and validation.
* Identify design issues and implement design improvements based on testing and field feedback.
* Coordinate with vendors and manufacturers for fabrication and machining of components.
* Review vendor drawings and ensure components meet design specifications.
* Support assembly, testing, troubleshooting, and product improvements.
* Ensure designs are cost-effective, reliable, safe, and suitable for mass production.
* Maintain proper revision control of drawings and design documentation.
* Participate in design reviews and contribute to continuous product improvement.
Required Skills
* Strong knowledge of Mechanical Design and Engineering Drawing.
* Proficiency in SolidWorks / AutoCAD / Fusion 360 / Creo or similar CAD software.
* Knowledge of GD&T, tolerances, fits, and dimensional inspection.
* Understanding of manufacturing processes such as:
* CNC machining
* Sheet metal fabrication
* 3D printing
* Injection moulding
* Laser cutting
* Welding
* Aluminium extrusion
Educational Qualification
B.Tech / B.E. / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, or a related field.
Experience
1–3 years of relevant experience in mechanical design and product development.
Freshers with strong CAD skills, project experience, and a good understanding of mechanical design may also be considered.

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
