Job Title: Admission Counsellor – Online Courses | EdTech
Job Summary:
We are looking for a dynamic and result-oriented Admission Counsellor to guide prospective students through the admission process for online degree, certification, and professional courses. The ideal candidate should have strong counselling, sales, and communication skills with a passion for helping students achieve their career goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Counsel prospective students regarding online degree, certification, diploma, and professional programs.
- Handle inbound and outbound calls, leads, WhatsApp, emails, and virtual counselling sessions.
- Understand students' educational background and career aspirations to recommend suitable courses.
- Explain course curriculum, eligibility, fees, scholarships, EMI options, and admission procedures.
- Convert qualified leads into successful admissions by achieving monthly targets.
- Follow up with prospective students and maintain relationships throughout the admission cycle.
- Update CRM with lead status, counselling notes, and admission progress.
- Coordinate with the admissions, academic, and support teams for seamless onboarding.
- Resolve student queries professionally and provide exceptional customer experience.
- Stay updated on course offerings, industry trends, and competitor programs.
Required Skills:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong counselling, persuasion, negotiation, and objection-handling abilities.
- Target-driven approach with a passion for sales.
- Good knowledge of CRM software, MS Excel, and Google Workspace.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, performance-oriented environment.
- Strong follow-up and relationship management skills.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in any discipline (MBA preferred).
- 1–5 years of experience in Admission Counselling, Academic Counselling, Education Sales, Student Counselling, Inside Sales, or EdTech Sales.
- Experience in Online Education, EdTech, Universities, Learning Platforms, or Higher Education is preferred.
