Summary
Seeking an experienced ETL Migration Lead / Azure Data Engineering Specialist to lead the assessment, planning, and migration of legacy Informatica PowerCenter ETL workloads to Azure Databricks, Azure Synapse Analytics, and Azure Data Factory. The role focuses on designing scalable cloud-native data integration solutions, optimizing ETL performance, leading technical teams, and delivering secure, high-quality enterprise data platforms while supporting Azure cloud modernization initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess existing Informatica PowerCenter workflows, mappings, and ETL processes and define migration strategies to Azure.
- Design, develop, and implement scalable ETL/ELT pipelines using Azure Databricks, Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure Data Factory (ADF), PySpark, Python, and SQL.
- Perform ETL assessment, data mapping, workflow conversion, data reconciliation, validation, and performance tuning.
- Integrate Azure data solutions with Oracle, SQL Server, Azure Data Lake Storage (ADLS), REST APIs, and Power BI.
- Lead complex ETL migration initiatives, coordinating activities across multiple stakeholders and technical teams.
- Develop application architecture, technical designs, data flow diagrams, and migration documentation aligned with enterprise standards.
- Configure and support CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps and Git for automated deployments.
- Perform unit, integration, reconciliation, and performance testing to ensure data quality and successful migration.
- Implement Azure security best practices, including RBAC, Azure Key Vault, and Managed Identity integration.
- Provide production support, troubleshoot migration issues, prepare operational documentation, and conduct knowledge transfer sessions.
Required Skills
- 8+ years of ETL/Data Engineering experience.
- Strong expertise in Informatica PowerCenter, Azure Databricks, Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure Data Factory, PySpark, Python, and SQL.
- Experience with ETL assessment, migration planning, workflow conversion, data mapping, performance tuning, and data reconciliation.
- Hands-on experience with Azure Data Lake Storage (ADLS), Azure DevOps, Git, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Strong SQL programming and database design experience.
- Experience integrating Oracle, SQL Server, REST APIs, and enterprise data platforms.
- Knowledge of Azure security services including RBAC, Azure Key Vault, Managed Identities, and Microsoft Entra ID.
- Experience with Agile methodologies, Test-Driven Development (TDD), and enterprise software development practices.
- Strong experience creating architecture diagrams, technical design documentation, and migration plans.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and technical leadership skills.
Preferred
- Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Engineer Associate or Databricks Certified Data Engineer.
- Experience leading enterprise-scale Informatica PowerCenter to Azure migration programs.
- Experience with enterprise application architecture, multi-tier applications, APIs, and web services.
- Experience managing complex technology initiatives involving multiple business stakeholders.
- Knowledge of enterprise infrastructure, LDAP, application servers, networking, and security architecture.
Pay: ₹1,000,000.00 - ₹1,500,000.00 per year
