About the Role:
Wiley is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Publishing Development Coordinator to support our global Publishing Development team within Social Sciences. This role is critical to supporting journal portfolio growth by coordinating reporting, administrative activities, editorial board engagement, and large-scale publishing initiatives. You will work closely with Publishers and Publishing Development leaders to help drive operational excellence and support Wiley's publishing goals.
How You Will Make an Impact
- Coordinate team operations, including travel requests, meetings, target-setting activities, team calendars, and communication channels.
- Provide administrative support across a portfolio of journals, including monthly reporting, website updates, virtual issue coordination, and editorial board surveys.
- Organize editorial board meetings, including scheduling, logistics, invitations, and stakeholder coordination.
- Support journal operations through invoice processing, subscription requests, payment coordination, and agreement management.
- Coordinate and track team and project reporting to support decision-making and leadership visibility.
- Assist with portfolio-wide projects and initiatives, ensuring delivery with speed, accuracy, and attention to detail.
- Collaborate across global teams to identify and implement best practices that improve efficiency and effectiveness.
What We Are Looking For
- Bachelor's degree is preferred; equivalent education and relevant experience will also be considered.
- Proven administrative or coordination experience in a professional environment.
- Interest in scholarly publishing, journal operations, or academic publishing.
- Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong collaboration and relationship-building abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft 365 applications, including Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
- Working knowledge of Excel and Power BI is an advantage.
- Self-motivated, solution-oriented, and able to work effectively both independently and within a team.
- Strong time-management and prioritization skills.
