- Oversee the day-to-day maintenance and engineering operations of the hotel.
- Develop and implement preventive and predictive maintenance schedules.
- Supervise maintenance staff, contractors, and service providers.
- Ensure proper functioning of HVAC systems, electrical systems, plumbing, generators, elevators, kitchen equipment, fire safety systems, and water treatment plants.
- Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms, public areas, back-of-house, and plant rooms to identify maintenance requirements.
- Respond promptly to emergency breakdowns and maintenance issues.
- Maintain all statutory compliance related to electrical, fire safety, pollution control, and building regulations.
- Prepare and manage the department's annual maintenance budget and control expenses.
- Monitor inventory of maintenance tools, spare parts, and consumables.
- Coordinate renovation projects, repairs, and capital improvement works.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, equipment history, and service contracts.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental, and hotel quality standards.
- Work closely with Front Office, Housekeeping, Food & Beverage, and other departments to ensure uninterrupted hotel operations.
- Evaluate contractor performance and negotiate annual maintenance contracts (AMCs).
- Train, mentor, and evaluate the performance of maintenance team members.
- Implement energy conservation initiatives and monitor utility consumption to improve efficiency.
- Ensure all maintenance work is completed with minimal disruption to guests.
- Strong knowledge of electrical, mechanical, plumbing, HVAC, and civil maintenance systems.
- Understanding of fire safety systems, DG sets, elevators, STP/ETP, water treatment, and hotel engineering operations.
- Preventive and corrective maintenance planning.

- Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Certification in facility management or safety is an added advantage.
- 5–10 years of experience in hotel engineering or facility maintenance.
- At least 2–3 years in a supervisory or managerial role within a hotel, resort, hospital, or commercial property.
- Experience in preventive maintenance, project management, and team leadership is preferred.
- Ability to inspect facilities across the property, including rooftops, basements, and plant rooms.
- Ability to lift maintenance tools or equipment when necessary.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, weekends, holidays, and respond to emergency call-outs.
