A fabricator, or fabrication technician, uses specialized equipment and hand tools to make components for large machines and vehicles
Common duties include:
- Interpreting blueprints, schematics and diagrams for complex machines and vehicles
- Measuring, marking, cutting, trimming and shaping raw materials like metal
- Welding, brazing and soldering pieces to create finished parts
- Aligning parts and connecting them with bolts, screws and other fasteners to make large components
- Conducting quality checks and identifying and correcting defects
- Documenting batch numbers, completion times and measurements
- Inspecting tools and equipment before and after use, and reporting any signs of wear and tear
Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
