Job Scope: To design and develop end-to-end warehousing and supply chain solutions that align with customer requirements while supporting business development initiatives. The role is responsible for analysing customer supply chain requirements, creating operational and cost-efficient warehouse solutions, supporting new business pursuits, and driving solution excellence through data analysis, layout design, and cross-functional stakeholder collaboration.
Key Responsibilities:
- Liaise with customers and internal Business Development teams to understand customer supply chain requirements and translate them into effective logistics solutions.
- Provide solution design support for new business opportunities, operational implementations, and supply chain re-engineering initiatives.
- Collect, analyse, and interpret logistics and operational data to develop optimized warehouse solutions and business recommendations.
- Design end-to-end warehousing solutions, including space modelling, resource planning, and cost modelling using DHL standard tools and templates.
- Develop warehouse layouts using AutoCAD while ensuring operational efficiency, safety, and scalability.
- Prepare solution presentations, pricing models, and commercial documentation for customer proposals and RFQs.
- Participate in customer discussions and presentations to explain proposed solutions and address technical queries.
- Coordinate with external vendors to obtain commercial proposals for warehouse infrastructure, including racking systems, material handling equipment (MHE), cold storage solutions, and other facility requirements.
- Work closely with Business Development and cross-functional stakeholders to understand RFQ requirements and deliver comprehensive solution designs within defined timelines.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities for process optimisation and cost efficiencies in warehouse operations.
- Ensure all solution designs adhere to DHL standards, customer expectations, and operational best practices.
Experience: Minimum 4-5 years of experience in Solution Design.
Qualification: B.E / B.Tech, MBA
