Position: Receptionist Cum Cashier

Location: Veerappampalayam, Erode
Job Summary
The Receptionist Cum Cashier is responsible for managing front office operations, welcoming visitors, handling incoming calls, maintaining records, and performing cashier-related duties including receiving payments, issuing receipts, and maintaining daily cash transactions. The role requires excellent communication skills, customer service orientation, and accuracy in cash handling.
Key ResponsibilitiesReceptionist Duties
- Greet and welcome visitors, customers, and vendors in a professional manner.
- Answer, screen, and direct incoming phone calls.
- Maintain visitor logs and issue visitor passes when required.
- Handle incoming and outgoing correspondence, courier services, and emails.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the reception area.
- Coordinate meeting room bookings and administrative support activities.
- Assist various departments with clerical and administrative tasks.
Cashier Duties
- Receive cash, UPI, card, and other payment modes from customers.
- Generate bills, invoices, receipts, and payment acknowledgments.
- Maintain accurate records of daily cash collections and transactions.
- Verify cash balances and prepare daily cash reports.
- Deposit collections as per company procedures.
- Coordinate with the Accounts Department regarding payment reconciliations.
- Ensure proper handling and safeguarding of cash and financial documents.
- Report any discrepancies immediately to management.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Commerce, Business Administration, or any related field.
- Minimum 1–2 years of experience in receptionist, cashier, or front office operations.
- Freshers with good communication skills may also apply.
Required Skills
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Customer service and interpersonal skills.
- Basic accounting and cash handling knowledge.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Ability to operate billing software, POS systems, and office equipment.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
