Position: Design Engineer – Pipeline Fittings & Special Products
About the Role
Anggerik Laksana (India) Pvt. Ltd. is looking for a Design Engineer having experience in the design and engineering of pipeline fittings and special products used in Oil & Gas, refinery, petrochemical and process industries.
The candidate should have sound technical knowledge of products such as Scrapper Tee /Flow Tee , Flow Tee, Barred Tee, Pigging-related pipeline fittings, pressure retaining components, and fabricated pipeline , Launcher & Receiver , assemblies.
Key Responsibilities
The Design Engineer shall be responsible for:
1. Preparing design calculations, drawings and technical documents for pipeline fittings and special products such as:
- Scrapper Tee
- Launcher Receiver
- Flow Tee
- Barred Tee
- Special pipe fittings and pressure retaining assemblies
2.Designing products as per applicable international codes and project specifications, including:
- ASME B31.3 / B31.4 / B31.8
- ASME Section VIII, wherever applicable
- API, ASTM, MSS-SP and client-specific standards
- ONGC / EIL / EPC project specifications, wherever applicable
3. Preparing and checking:
- General Arrangement drawings
- Fabrication drawings
- Nozzle orientation drawings
- Welding details
- Bill of Materials
- Design calculations
- Data sheets
- Technical compliance sheets
4. Reviewing customer specifications, tender documents and technical requirements to prepare suitable design inputs.
5. Coordinating with production, quality, purchase and inspection teams for manufacturability and project execution.
6. Supporting technical clarification with clients, consultants, third-party inspection agencies and EPC contractors
7. Preparing documents for approval from clients and consultants.
8. Ensuring design suitability for hydro testing, NDT, painting/coating, welding, machining and final inspection requirements.
9. Maintaining proper design records, revision control and documentation as per company quality system.
10. Providing technical support during manufacturing, inspection and dispatch stages.
Required Technical Skills
The candidate should have knowledge of:
- Pressure vessel / pipeline component design
- Pipe fittings and fabricated pipeline assemblies
- Launcher Receiver design
- Flow Tee and Barred Tee design
- Welding symbols and fabrication practices
- Material grades such as CS, LTCS, SS, Duplex, Cu-Ni and alloy steels
- ASME, ASTM, API and client specifications
- Hydro test pressure calculation
- Reinforcement pad / branch connection design
- Flange, nozzle and end connection details
- NDT and inspection requirements
- Coating, painting and marking requirements
Qualification
- B.E. / B.Tech / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering
- Minimum experience: 3 to 7 years in design of pipeline fittings, pressure parts, fabricated products or Oil & Gas equipment
Preferred Industry Background
Experience in any of the following industries will be preferred:
- Pipe fittings manufacturing
- Pressure vessel / skid manufacturing
- Pipeline equipment manufacturing
- Oil & Gas EPC fabrication
- Valve/pigging system / launcher receiver manufacturing
Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹45,000.00 per month
