Position Summary
- Job Title: Spinning Mill Supervisor / Shift In-Charge
- Department: Textile Manufacturing / Production
- Reports To: Production Manager / Mill Manager
Core Responsibilities
- Production Management: Monitor machine efficiency, minimize idle frame time, and hit daily production targets.
- Workforce Supervision: Assign operators, machine tenters, and helpers to designated machines. Enforce workplace discipline, and conduct safety briefings.
- Maintenance Coordination: Perform routine floor inspections for machine wear. Log breakdowns, coordinate immediately with the mechanical and electrical maintenance teams, and assist in preventative maintenance schedules.
- Material & Waste Control: Track raw material consumption, minimize yarn wastage (lap waste, silver waste, pneumafil waste), and log shift performance data in the ERP or shift ledger.
Key Qualifications & Requirements
- Education: Diploma or Bachelor's degree
- Experience: 3+ years of hands-on supervisory experience in a yarn spinning unit.
- Technical Knowledge: Understanding of ring spinning, and machinery parameters.
Skills: Shift scheduling, troubleshooting, basic leadership, and familiarity with production management software.
