Job Responsibility:
We are looking for a senior techno-functional leader in Payments who can operate as a hybrid Business Analyst and Program Manager, working closely with business heads, product leads, and technology teams to drive global payments transformation and modernization initiatives.
This role requires deep payments domain expertise + program delivery leadership, with the ability to operate across multiple regions (US, EMEA, APAC) and manage complex, multi-stream initiatives.
1. Program Delivery & Governance
- Lead end-to-end delivery of payments transformation programs (ISO20022, RTP, cross-border, platform modernization)
- Manage program governance (RAID, milestones, financial tracking, reporting)
- Drive execution across multiple workstreams (business, tech, ops, vendors)
2. Business Analysis & Solution Design
- Own requirements strategy and ensure linkage to business outcomes
- Drive AS-IS / TO-BE design, operating model changes, and process optimization
- Oversee creation of BRDs, FRDs, user stories, and solution blueprints
3. Stakeholder Management
- Act as primary interface with senior stakeholders (Business Heads, CIO org, Product leads)
- Run workshops, steering committees, and governance forums
- Provide strategic input on payment capabilities and roadmap
4. Payments Domain Leadership
- Drive initiatives across:
- Cross-border / SWIFT (MT MX, CBPR+)
- ISO 20022 migration
- Real-time payments (Faster Payments, RTP, FedNow, UPI)
- Payments hubs / modernization
- Ensure alignment with regulatory / control frameworks (AML, sanctions, PSD2, etc.)
5. Technology & Integration Oversight
- Work closely with engineering teams on:
- API integrations, message mapping (ISO/XML/JSON)
- Vendor platforms (FIS, Finastra, VolPay, Temenos)
- Provide functional oversight during build, SIT, UAT
Qualification
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Technology, Finance, or related disciplines.
- Certifications such as CBAP, CCBA, or Agile BA preferred
Skills Required
- 12+ years experience in Payments / Transaction Banking
- Proven track record as Program Manager / Lead BA in large transformation programs
- Strong expertise in:
- SWIFT, ISO 20022, SEPA, RTP, ACH, Wires
- Payments lifecycle (initiation to reconciliation)
- Experience managing global programs (US/EMEA/APAC)
- Strong stakeholder management & executive communication
- Familiarity with:
- Agile / hybrid delivery
- JIRA, Confluence, process tools
