Key Responsibilities
- Lead the Quality Assurance and Quality Control functions for the forging plant.
- Develop, implement, and maintain the Quality Management System (QMS) in accordance with IATF 16949, ISO 9001, and customer-specific requirements.
- Manage APQP, PPAP, FMEA, Control Plans, MSA, SPC, and Process Flow documentation for new product development.
- Ensure compliance with customer requirements, engineering specifications, and quality standards.
- Lead internal, customer, and third-party quality audits and ensure timely closure of audit findings.
- Investigate customer complaints, warranty issues, and internal quality problems using root cause analysis tools such as 8D, 5 Why, and Fishbone Diagram.
- Implement and monitor corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
- Monitor key quality metrics including PPM, rejection rate, scrap, rework, and customer complaints.
- Coordinate with Production, Maintenance, Tool Room, Engineering, and Supply Chain to improve product and process quality.
- Approve first-off inspections, process validations, and PPAP submissions.
- Ensure calibration of inspection equipment and compliance with measurement system requirements.
- Supervise incoming, in-process, and final inspection activities.
- Develop inspection standards, work instructions, and quality procedures.
- Train and mentor quality engineers, inspectors, and operators on quality systems and problem-solving techniques.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives using Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, Kaizen, and statistical quality tools.
- Manage supplier quality performance and support supplier development activities.
- Prepare quality reports and present performance metrics during management review meetings.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Metallurgical Engineering, or a related field.
- 8–15 years of experience in forging quality, with at least 3–5 years in a managerial role.
- Experience in automotive forging or precision forging industries is preferred.

- Strong knowledge of forging processes (hot forging, warm forging, cold forging)

Pay: ₹65,000.00 - ₹70,000.00 per month
