Key Responsibilities:
- Responsible for accurate techno‑commercial estimation and costing of static equipment for ETP, STP, WTP, Recycle & ZLD systems, supporting tendering, budgetary offers, and detailed commercial proposals.

Perform the mechanical design of various static equipment with applicable codes & standard (like ASME, API, TEMA, IS, PED, EN and other relevant code) and customer technical specifications.

Proficiency in design software like PV Elite, AME tank, Nozzle Pro

The role ensures cost competitiveness, technical compliance, and risk mitigation through proper equipment sizing, MOC selection, vendor evaluation, and cost optimization.

Study RFQ / Tender documents and highlight technical and commercial risks. Prepare pre‑bid queries (PBQ); participate in pre‑bid meetings and capture clarifications / deviations.

Static Equipment Estimation & Costing: Pressure Vessels, Storage Tanks, Filters, MEE / MVR / ATFD bodies, condensate tanks etc.

Propose cost optimization options without compromising performance: Alternate MOC, Fabrication methodology changes, Modularization options. Support CFT / internal cost review meetings and respond to management queries.

Coordinate with Process Engineering (for sizing & flows), Mechanical / Static Design, Piping & Layout teams, Procurement & BD teams, Assist project execution teams during handover for post‑order clarification.

Coordinate with vendors/suppliers for updated prices, lead times, and technical compliance. Request and evaluate vendor quotations for raw material, and fabrication works.

Develop complete cost breakdown: material, labor, subcontracting, fabrication, testing, hydrotesting, painting, and installation.

Perform rate analysis based on manpower productivity, site conditions, and project complexity. Prepare estimation reports for management review.

Knowledge of fabrication techniques, welding processes, pressure testing, and piping supports. Proficiency in MS Excel, AutoCAD, and estimation software (if required).
Skills and Experience Required:

B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering (M.Tech Preferred)

12 to 15 Years of working exp. as Estimation Engineer

Strong understanding of Static equipment sizing philosophy, Fabrication practices & costing norms, Indian & international codes (IS, ASME – working knowledge)

Ability to read & interpret, PFDs, P&IDs, layouts, GA drawings

Proficiency in:

Excel‑based cost sheets

Equipment BOQs and summaries

Sense of urgency during negotiation phase and arrange quick inputs to improve winning probability
