Roles & Responsibilities:
Staff Management:
- Supervise, train, and mentor store executives and material handling staff.
- Assign daily tasks and evaluate team performance.
- Ensure the team adheres to the company’s standard operating procedures (SOPs).
ERP Overview & Inventory Control:
- Maintain absolute data accuracy within the company’s ERP system for all inbound and outbound materials.
- Oversee real-time stock updating, material issuance and returns.
- Conduct regular cycle counts and annual physical inventory audits, reconciling any discrepancies.
Demand Forecasting & Purchase Coordination:
- Analyse usage data and production schedules to create accurate purchase forecasts.
- Maintain optimum inventory levels (Minimum/Maximum, Reorder Points) for CNC machine shop.
- Collaborate closely with the Production and Planning teams to anticipate upcoming material requirements.
- Raise Purchase Orders (PO) in a timely manner and coordinate with the procurement department to track approvals.
Supplier Management:
- Act as the primary point of contact for external suppliers regarding delivery schedules and updates.
- Follow up on pending purchase orders to ensure on-time delivery of critical components.
- Coordinate with the Finance department regarding supplier invoice verification, payment processing, and dispute resolution.
Logistics Coordination:
- Manage both inbound and outbound logistics, ensuring cost-effective and timely transportation.
- Coordinate with freight forwarders, couriers, and local transport vendors.
- Oversee the verification of documents, delivery challans, and gate passes.
Skills and Requirements:
- Education: BE/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering
- Experience: 20-30 years in Store management.
- Proficiency in manufacturing ERP software.
- Excellent negotiation and interpersonal skills.
- Planning and prioritising skills.
- Excellent reporting and communication skills.
- Proficient in MS Office.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
