Roles and Responsibilities
- Curriculum Design: Formulate age-appropriate art projects, lesson objectives, and techniques in color theory or aesthetics.
- Skill Instruction: Teach essential methods across mediums like sketching, watercoloring, origami, quilling, or clay modeling.
- Material Management: Purchase, monitor, organize, and safely distribute art supplies and sharp crafting tools.
- Event Support: Decorate campus buildings for school functions, design event banners, and curate student artwork exhibitions.
- Talent Development: Nurture student portfolios, evaluate creative skill progress, and mentor students for district or national art competitions.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Education: A Bachelor's degree in Fine Arts (BFA) or Visual Arts, or a recognized Diploma in Drawing/Painting/Craftwork.
- Certifications: A recognized teacher training certification or B.Ed. is highly preferred by major educational boards.
- Portfolio: A well-presented personal portfolio demonstrating technical mastery over various art and craft genres.
- Soft Skills: High level of patience, exceptional verbal communication, strong classroom management, and visual spatial awareness.
