Job Summary
The Data Entry Operator is responsible for accurately entering, updating, and maintaining showroom data related to sales, inventory, customer records, purchase entries, stock transfers, and other operational transactions. The role requires attention to detail, confidentiality, and proficiency in computer applications and jewellery software.
Key Responsibilities
- Enter daily sales, purchase, and inventory transactions into the system.
- Maintain accurate records of gold, diamond, silver, and gemstone inventory.
- Update customer information and purchase history in the database.
- Generate and maintain stock reports, sales reports, and MIS reports.
- Verify invoices, vouchers, and billing records for accuracy.
- Coordinate with the sales, accounts, and inventory teams for data updates.
- Maintain digital and physical records of showroom transactions.
- Assist in barcode tagging, stock coding, and inventory reconciliation.
- Monitor data accuracy and correct discrepancies when identified.
- Ensure confidentiality of company and customer information.
- Support administrative and documentation activities as required.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate or Diploma holder in Commerce, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 0–2 years of experience in data entry, preferably in the jewellery or retail industry.
- Freshers with strong computer skills may also apply.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in MS Excel, MS Word, and data management software.
- Knowledge of jewellery ERP/software is preferred.
- Fast and accurate typing skills.
- Strong attention to detail and numerical accuracy.
- Good organizational and record-keeping skills.
- Basic understanding of inventory management.
- Ability to work under deadlines and manage multiple tasks.
