Key ResponsibilitiesTheme Development: Build custom Shopify themes from scratch or modify pre-existing templates to align with brand guidelines.App Integration: Install, configure, and develop custom Shopify apps and plugins to expand the store's capabilities (e.g., shipping, payments, CRM).Performance Optimization: Ensure lightning-fast page load times and robust mobile responsiveness across all devices.User Experience (UX): Work with UI/UX designers to implement intuitive navigation, interactive elements, and a frictionless checkout process.Troubleshooting & Debugging: Identify and resolve technical bugs, API conflicts, and functionality issues swiftly.SEO & Compliance: Implement e-commerce SEO best practices and ensure the website meets data security and compliance standards.Essential Qualifications & SkillsCore Languages: Strong proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript (ES6+), and jQuery.Shopify-Specific Tech: Deep understanding of Liquid (Shopify’s templating language) and the Shopify Admin API / GraphQL.Development Tools: Familiarity with version control systems like Git and task runners/build tools.Frameworks: Experience working with AJAX, React, or Vue.js is highly desirable for headless commerce or advanced custom app development.E-commerce Knowledge: Prior experience managing or developing within e-commerce ecosystems, including inventory and order management.
