Job Summary
The Title Examiner is responsible for reviewing and analyzing public records to determine the legal status of property titles. The role involves ensuring accuracy of ownership, identifying defects or claims, and preparing detailed title reports in compliance with company and client standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough title searches using online databases and county records
- Identify title defects, encumbrances, easements, or legal restrictions
- Prepare clear and accurate title reports and summaries
- Ensure compliance with legal requirements and company guidelines
- Coordinate with team members to resolve title issues
- Maintain proper documentation and meet defined productivity and quality standards
- Examine and analyze property title documents such as deeds, mortgages, liens, judgments, and tax records
Required Skills & Competencies
- Strong analytical and research skills
- Good understanding of real estate terminology and title concepts
Qualifications
- Any graduate / diploma
- 1–4 years of experience in US Title Search / Title Examination preferred
Preferred Knowledge
- Good Knowledge in Full Search & 2 owner Search
- Commercial search knowledge will be a Plus point
- Chain of title and property ownership verification
