- Industry Preference: Heavy Fabrication Industries / Piping Spools / Pressure Vessels / Heat Exchangers / Process Equipment Manufacturing

Responsibilities:
1. Handle welding activities for heavy fabrication and mechanical engineering projects.
2. Prepare and review WPS, PQR, WPQ and welding-related documents.
3. Monitor and control welding processes such as Arc Welding, SMAW, GTAW, GMAW and similar.
4. Conduct welding inspection, fit-up inspection, visual inspection and dimensional checks.
5. Ensure welding work is carried out as per approved drawings, codes, standards and project specifications.
6. Coordinate with production, QA/QC, planning and client inspection teams.
7. Support quality control activities and ensure defect-free welding work.
8. Review welding defects and provide corrective and preventive actions.
9. Ensure proper selection of welding consumables, filler wires and electrodes.
10. Maintain welding records, inspection reports and quality documentation.
11. Guide welders and fabrication teams for proper welding methods and quality improvement.
12. Ensure compliance with safety, quality and manufacturing standards.
Required Skills:
- Strong knowledge of Arc Welding, SMAW, GTAM Welding and heavy fabrication welding processes.
- Knowledge of metallurgy, welding symbols, welding defects and heat treatment.
- Experience in heavy fabrication, process equipment, piping spool, vessels, tanks and mechanical engineering products.
- Good knowledge of ASME, AWS and related welding standards.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
- Ability to handle production pressure and meet project deadlines.
