Job Summary
The Pipe Bender is responsible for bending, shaping, and fabricating metal pipes and tubes according to engineering drawings and production requirements. The role involves operating pipe bending machines while ensuring accuracy, quality, and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate manual, hydraulic, and CNC pipe bending machines.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and work instructions.
- Measure, mark, and prepare pipes for bending.
- Perform accurate bends as per specified angles, radii, and dimensions.
- Check finished products for dimensional accuracy and quality.
- Carry out minor machine adjustments and routine maintenance.
- Identify and report defects in materials or equipment.
- Maintain production records and job cards.
- Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean work area.
- Coordinate with fabrication and welding teams to ensure timely completion of jobs.
Required Qualifications
- ITI, 10th Pass, or equivalent technical qualification.
- Certification in fabrication or pipe bending is an added advantage.
Experience
- 2–5 years of experience operating pipe bending machines.
- Experience in fabrication of automotive, industrial, or structural components is preferred.
Required Skills
- Knowledge of pipe bending techniques and machinery.
- Ability to read engineering drawings and fabrication layouts.
- Proficiency in using measuring instruments such as tape measures, vernier calipers, protractors, and angle gauges.
- Understanding of different pipe materials such as MS, SS, GI, and aluminium.
- Good attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per hour
