The primary responsibility of this role is to execute System, Sub-system, and Component-level EMI/EMC modeling and simulation activities supporting the design and development of Eaton's power electronics products.
- Collaborate with global engineering teams to understand product design intent and develop high-fidelity EMI/EMC simulation models.
- Validate simulation models against test data and leverage insights to predict, analyze, and mitigate electromagnetic interference while ensuring compliance with applicable regulatory and industry standards.
- Provide technical recommendations for EMI/EMC design improvements, including filter design, shielding techniques, grounding strategies, and PCB/layout optimization.
- Perform complex EMI/EMC analyses covering conducted and radiated emissions, susceptibility studies, filter performance evaluation, and advanced electromagnetic mitigation techniques.
- Support product development teams in identifying and resolving EMI/EMC challenges early in the design cycle, reducing development risk and compliance issues.
- Independently plan and execute key simulation and analysis activities while coordinating with cross-functional teams, including hardware design, PCB layout, systems engineering, and compliance testing teams.
- Contribute to the development and continuous improvement of EMI/EMC modeling methodologies, simulation workflows, and best practices across the organization.
- Prepare technical reports, present simulation findings, and provide actionable recommendations to project stakeholders and engineering leadership.
