Job Summary:
We are looking for a motivated and organized Purchase Assistant to support the procurement activities in our carton box manufacturing unit. The ideal candidate will assist in sourcing raw materials such as kraft paper, adhesives, inks, and machinery spares. The role involves maintaining vendor relationships, ensuring timely procurement, and managing inventory levels to ensure uninterrupted production.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in sourcing suppliers for raw materials like kraft paper, duplex board, adhesives, printing inks, and packing materials.
- Prepare and process purchase orders based on production requirements and inventory levels.
- Coordinate with vendors for timely delivery and resolve any supply chain issues.
- Follow up with suppliers to ensure compliance with quality and delivery timelines.
- Maintain purchase records, price lists, and supplier databases.
- Track and report material consumption and coordinate with stores and production departments.
- Support in evaluating vendor performance and assisting with cost negotiation under guidance.
- Coordinate with the quality control team for material inspection and acceptance.
- Assist in managing procurement documentation, including invoices, GRNs, and delivery challans.
- Help ensure adherence to internal controls and company procurement policies.
