Job Description – Senior Software Engineer, Network TechPosition Overview
We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer – Network Tech to design, develop, test, and deploy scalable software solutions supporting network planning, transportation, shipment execution, capacity planning, and real-time monitoring.
The ideal candidate will have strong experience in JavaScript/TypeScript, Node.js, React, AWS, GraphQL, serverless architecture, and event-driven systems, along with a strong understanding of modern AI/LLM technologies.
Key Responsibilities
- Architect, build, test, and deploy scalable applications supporting transportation and logistics networks.
- Design and modify complex software applications based on evolving business and technical requirements.
- Develop reliable, high-performance systems for high-traffic production environments.
- Build serverless and event-driven applications using AWS and modern cloud technologies.
- Develop end-to-end features using Node.js, TypeScript, React, and GraphQL.
- Participate in peer code reviews and maintain high standards of code quality and engineering practices.
- Analyze code, requirements, system risks, reliability, and performance to recommend technical improvements.
- Collaborate with Product, Design, Operations, and Engineering teams to define requirements and deliver new features.
- Design and implement LLM-powered solutions to solve complex logistics challenges and automate operational workflows.
- Apply AI and machine learning capabilities to engineering workflows, including CI/CD, deployment-risk prediction, and intelligent automation.
- Contribute to architectural decisions, technical design, development, testing, and production deployment.
- Work closely with technical and non-technical stakeholders to translate business challenges into scalable technology solutions.
Required Qualifications
- 4+ years of professional software development experience in high-traffic production environments.
- 4+ years of experience with JavaScript, Node.js, and React.
- Strong proficiency in TypeScript, Node.js, React, GraphQL, and AWS.
- Strong understanding of serverless architecture and event-driven systems.
- Solid knowledge of data structures, software design principles, testing, and Test-Driven Development (TDD).
- Experience building, testing, deploying, and maintaining production-grade applications.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent technical education/work experience.
- Proactive, self-driven approach with the ability to take ownership and deliver solutions independently.
AI & Modern Engineering Experience
- Strong awareness of the rapidly evolving AI/ML and LLM ecosystem.
- Hands-on experience with LLMs, prompt engineering, AI-powered applications, or intelligent automation.
- Experience using AI-assisted developer tools such as GitHub Copilot, Cursor, Claude Code, or similar technologies.
- Ability to identify practical opportunities to use AI to improve engineering productivity, software quality, and operational efficiency.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in transportation, logistics, supply chain, network orchestration, or related domains.
- Experience working in a remote-first or distributed engineering environment.
- Experience with AWS, GCP, or other major cloud platforms.
- Strong end-to-end development expertise with React and Node.js.
- Experience designing scalable distributed systems and cloud-native applications.
- Experience integrating AI/LLM capabilities into enterprise software solutions.
