Job Summary:
The Automobile Accountant is responsible for managing the day-to-day accounting activities of the dealership, maintaining financial records, processing payments, preparing reports, and ensuring compliance with company policies and statutory requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain daily accounts and financial records.
- Prepare sales, purchase, and expense entries in the accounting system.
- Handle cash, bank transactions, and bank reconciliations.
- Process vendor payments and customer receipts.
- Prepare monthly financial statements and reports.
- Maintain records of vehicle sales, service income, and spare parts transactions.
- Monitor outstanding payments and follow up on receivables.
- Assist in GST, TDS, PF, ESIC, and other statutory compliance activities.
- Verify invoices, vouchers, and supporting documents.
- Coordinate with auditors and management for financial reporting.
- Maintain employee reimbursement and petty cash records.
- Ensure proper filing and documentation of all accounting records.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Commerce (B.Com) or equivalent.
- Knowledge of accounting software such as Tally, ERP, or dealership management systems.
- Proficiency in MS Excel.
Experience:
- 2–5 years of accounting experience, preferably in the automobile industry.
Skills Required:
- Strong accounting and numerical skills.
- Knowledge of GST and statutory compliance.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
