Role Title:
CNC Programmer
Reporting to:
Project Manager
PURPOSE OF THE ROLE
Provide manufacturing engineering solutions in the areas of CNC programming, NC Tool assemblies/drawing creation, Vericut verification, part prove out, shop support & manufacturing engineering support to customers to trouble shoot and resolve technical problems.
Drive improvements in related to manufacturing processes, including those related to products, equipment and product quality for customers

Understand the engineering definitions and develop sequential manufacturing process for better results in achieving right at first time

Good decision making capabilities in preparation of process

Sound knowledge in new product introduction in lie with the manufacturing launch plan

Ability to generate cutting tool path and NC program code using NX, CATIA, ESPIRIT, TopSolid and other tool platform

Expertise in feature based machining, turning, 3, 4 and 5 Axis milling, turnmill & VMC 4th & 5th axis fixed or continuous

Expertise in selection of cutting tools & cutting parameters for Steel, Aluminium, Titanium & Nickel alloy materials

Expertise on various CNC controls (Siemens, Fanuc & Heidenhain)

Expertise in analysis of NC codes post processing

Expertise in creation & customization of post processor

Expertise in Vericut, NCSIMUL, Nx and other simulation software

Ability to create tool 3Dmodels, assemblies and drawings in Nx, CATIA, Creo and other tool platform

Ability to interpret GD&T from model Based definition and legacy drawings

Ability to read and understand specifications and standards

Ability to execute tasks in line with the customer quality procedures and production methodologies

Work with cross-functional teams, local experts, partners and suppliers to ensure technical aspects of manufacturing processes are understood and accounted for as required

Conduct supplier audits to drive process standardization, waste elimination, and continuous improvement

Support the investigation of all non-conformance reports and responses using proven problem solving methodology

EDUCATION & QUALIFICATIONS
Graduate in a Mechanical Degree/Diploma or equivalent work experience
Should have background in Manufacturing & Shop Floor
IT SYSTEMS & SOTWARE SKILLS
MS Office tools: MS Excel, MS Word, MS PowerPoint, MS Project.
CAD/CAM tools: UG/NX, CATIA, ESPIRIT, TopSolid (Strong Knowledge)
Verification: Vericut / NCSimul
Product Lifecycle Management: Siemens Teamcenter / ptc Windchill / Dassualt Innovia
ADDITIONAL NON-MANDATORY SKILLS
Good understanding of Aerospace Manufacturing Environment

Willing to travel to the customer site & service providers, as required
