Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Quantity Surveyor role based in Malappuram. The Quantity Surveyor will be responsible for preparing and reviewing Bills of Quantities (BOQs), estimating project costs, and supporting budgeting for residential and commercial construction projects. Daily tasks include tracking project expenditures, monitoring cost variances, and collaborating with project managers, engineers, and site teams to maintain financial control and ensure cost-effective use of resources. The role also involves preparing cost reports, assisting with tender documentation, evaluating contractor and supplier quotations, and ensuring compliance with company standards and local regulations. The Quantity Surveyor will contribute to risk assessment, value engineering, and continuous improvement of cost management processes.
Qualifications
- Ability to prepare and manage BOQ, with strong skills in quantity take-off and detailed measurement.
- Proficiency in Cost Control and Cost Management to monitor budgets, track expenditures, and minimize cost overruns.
- Experience in Cost Planning to develop accurate estimates, forecasts, and financial plans for construction projects.
- Capability in Cost Reporting to produce clear, timely financial reports and support decision-making for project stakeholders.
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Familiarity with construction contracts, tendering processes, and local building regulations.
- Comfort with relevant software tools (e.g., MS Excel, estimating and QS software, project management tools).
- Strong analytical, numerical, and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with multidisciplinary project teams on-site.
- Prior experience as a Quantity Surveyor or in a similar role in residential and commercial construction will be an advantage.
Pay: ₹10,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
