Role Overview:
As a BDM, you will be the engine of our growth. This is a high-impact role that combines Strategic Market Research (to find the right targets), High-Volume Telecalling (to open the door), and Consultative Selling (to close IT service deals). You will tailor our IT offerings—SaaS, Cloud, Web/App Development, or Managed Services—to solve the unique pain points of diverse industries.
1. Market Research & Sector Mapping
- Cross-Industry Analysis: Conduct deep-dive research into various sectors (e.g., Logistics, FinTech, Healthcare, Real Estate) to identify which industries are currently investing in IT upgrades.
- Competitor Intelligence: Monitor what other IT firms are pitching to these sectors and identify gaps in their service delivery.
- Lead List Building: Use tools like LinkedIn Sales Navigator and Crunchbase to build high-intent calling lists of CTOs, IT Managers, and Business Owners.
2. Strategic Telecalling & Outreach
- Cold Calling & Prospecting: Execute consistent outbound calling campaigns to introduce our IT services to decision-makers across different industries.
- Customized Pitching: Move away from "generic scripts." Use your research to explain how our IT solutions specifically solve a problem for their specific industry (e.g., "Improving patient data security" for Healthcare or "Optimizing inventory" for Retail).
- Appointment Setting: Convert cold conversations into qualified "Discovery Meetings" or "Technical Demos" for our engineering team.
3. Business Development & Analytics
- End-to-End Sales Pipeline: Manage the journey from the first "Hello" on the phone to drafting the final commercial proposal and contract signing.
- CRM Discipline: Maintain 100% accurate records of every call, follow-up, and objection in Salesforce, HubSpot, or Zoho.
- Data-Driven Optimization: Analyze your own "Call-to-Meeting" conversion rates to identify which industries are responding best to our IT pitches.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Education: MBA in Marketing or IT/Systems preferred (or a B.Tech with a strong sales aptitude).
- The "IT Pitch" Capability: Ability to explain technical concepts (APIs, Cloud migration, UI/UX) in simple, value-driven business terms.
- High Verbal Fluency: Professional, persuasive, and resilient phone presence; ability to navigate "Gatekeepers" to reach CEOs/CTOs.
- Technical Tools: Proficiency in Advanced Excel (for lead tracking) and CRM software.
- Adaptability: Comfortable switching contexts—pitching to a Manufacturing head at 10 AM and a FinTech founder at 11 AM.
