Job Summary
Dr. Muthus Multispeciality Hospital is looking for a skilled and motivated Biomedical Engineer to manage, maintain, and ensure the safe and efficient operation of medical equipment across the hospital. The ideal candidate will support clinical departments by performing preventive maintenance, troubleshooting equipment issues, and ensuring compliance with hospital quality and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, inspect, maintain, and troubleshoot biomedical equipment.
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance of medical devices.
- Calibrate equipment and maintain calibration records as per the maintenance schedule.
- Coordinate with equipment vendors for servicing, annual maintenance contracts (AMC), and comprehensive maintenance contracts (CMC).
- Maintain equipment inventory, service records, and maintenance logs.
- Ensure all medical equipment complies with safety, quality, and regulatory standards.
- Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns and minimize downtime.
- Provide basic operational training to users on the safe handling of medical equipment.
- Participate in equipment evaluation, procurement, installation, and commissioning.
- Coordinate with clinical departments to ensure uninterrupted equipment availability.
- Adhere to NABH standards, hospital policies, and biomedical engineering best practices.
Eligibility
- B.E./B.Tech in Biomedical Engineering.
- candidates with 1–3 years of experience in a hospital or healthcare setting may apply.
- Knowledge of biomedical equipment maintenance and hospital operations is preferred.
Required Skills
- Knowledge of biomedical equipment and maintenance procedures.
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
- Good documentation and record-keeping abilities.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills.
- Basic computer proficiency and knowledge of MS Office.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.
