Position Summary
The Junior Billing and Planning Engineer supports the project planning and billing functions for real estate development and construction projects. This role is responsible for assisting in the preparation of project schedules, tracking progress against plans, and coordinating client and contractor billing in line with contractual terms. The position requires close collaboration with site engineers, project managers, contractors, and the finance team to ensure accurate and timely billing and effective project tracking.
Key Responsibilities
Planning & Scheduling
- Assist in preparing and updating project schedules using planning software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera P6).
- Monitor project progress against baseline schedules and flag deviations.
- Support resource and material planning in coordination with site engineers.
- Prepare periodic progress reports (weekly/monthly) for internal and client review.
- Assist in preparing bar charts, S-curves, and progress dashboards.
Billing & Measurement
- Prepare interim and final billing statements (RA bills) based on site measurements and BOQ (Bill of Quantities).
- Verify quantities executed on site against drawings and contract documents.
- Coordinate with site teams to ensure accurate measurement sheets and supporting documentation.
- Track running account bills, retention amounts, and payment certificates for contractors and vendors.
- Reconcile billed quantities with actual work completed and contract terms.
- Support preparation of variation/change order documentation and claims.
Coordination & Documentation
- Liaise with site engineers, contractors, and the finance/accounts team to ensure billing accuracy and timely submission.
- Maintain organized records of contracts, BOQs, measurement sheets, and billing history.
- Support audits and reconciliations related to project costs and billing.
- Assist senior engineers in contract administration tasks as required.
Qualifications & Requirements
Education
- Bachelor's degree/Diploma in Civil Engineering or a related field.
Experience
- 0–3 years of experience in billing, planning, or quantity surveying, preferably in real estate or construction.
Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
