Position Summary
The Orthodontist will be responsible for diagnosing, planning, and treating malocclusions and dentofacial irregularities using fixed appliances, removable appliances, aligners, and interceptive orthodontic techniques. The role requires close collaboration with other dental specialists to ensure comprehensive treatment outcomes while maintaining the highest standards of patient care.
Key Responsibilities
Clinical Responsibilities
- Diagnose malocclusions and craniofacial abnormalities through clinical examination and radiographic analysis.
- Prepare comprehensive orthodontic treatment plans.
- Perform complete orthodontic procedures using:
- Fixed Orthodontic Appliances
- Ceramic Braces
- Self-Ligating Brackets
- Clear Aligners
- Functional Appliances
- Retainers
- Carry out orthodontic adjustments and periodic reviews.
- Manage orthodontic emergencies.
- Monitor treatment progress and modify plans when required.
- Deliver high-quality treatment while ensuring patient comfort.
Quality Assurance
· Maintain high treatment standards.
- Participate in clinical audits.
- Follow evidence-based dentistry.
- Minimize treatment complications through proper planning.
Patient Experience
- Maintain excellent communication with patients and attendants.
- Ensure every patient receives a positive and comfortable treatment experience.
- Resolve patient concerns with empathy and professionalism.
Qualifications
- BDS
- MDS in Orthodontics & Dentofacial Orthopaedics
- Valid State Dental Council Registration
Experience
- Minimum: 2 years of clinical experience after MDS
- Experience with fixed orthodontics and clear aligners is preferred.
- Fresh MDS graduates with exceptional clinical skills may also be considered.
