Director MEP - Client Secondment RolePosition SummaryDirector MEP position on secondment to lead mechanical, electrical, and plumbing engineering for our Client's major development portfolio. This senior role provides hands-on technical leadership ensuring high-performance building systems delivery while embedded within the client's project team.
Secondment ArrangementReports directly to Client's Project Director with quarterly reviews by JLL leadership. Based at Client Location.
Core ResponsibilitiesLead MEP engineering strategy across client's active projects, ensuring systems integration, sustainability targets, and cost efficiency. Oversee design development through construction, coordinating with architects, contractors, and consultants. Manage MEP engineering resources including design team members and external consultants. Serve as client's technical expert for all MEP decisions, presenting recommendations to project leadership. Ensure compliance with building codes, energy standards, and client design requirements. Drive commissioning processes to verify system performance meets specifications.
Essential Requirements12 to 15+ years MEP engineering experience. Proven delivery of large-scale commercial projects from design through occupancy. Deep technical knowledge of HVAC, electrical distribution, plumbing, fire protection, and building automation systems. Strong stakeholder management skills working effectively with diverse project teams. Proficiency with BIM coordination and building performance analysis tools.
Preferred QualificationsBachelors of Engineering mandatory. Experience with building type relevant to client - e.g., corporate office, data centers. Knowledge of building codes and standards.
