The Team
The Communications Manager is responsible for ensuring that communications are strategically and purposefully aligned to support the firm’s global business operations. The overall objective for the role is to ensure communications are impactful and engaging and communications are packaged and presented in a way they can be easily consumed and understood. This person will help review, improve and ensure proper drafting of all communications for Corporate Services Leaders (Finance, HR, IT, Marketing, etc.), as well as any communication targeting all employees or large segments of employees. This is an exciting role with the opportunity to work internationally with a number of key stakeholders.
How you will contribute
1. Communication Strategy, Plans & Programs:
Design & develop test scenarios that accurately gauge product quality.
Own the end-to-end quality of project delivery.
Design & Develop test strategies.
2. Communications planning
Develop and run an internal calendar of comms touchpoints and moments to ensure important information is communicated at the right time and to the right channel. This involves working with internal stakeholders to update the calendar with significant happenings in each area.
Establish and document firmwide communication principles and procedures
Develop repeatable frameworks and playbooks to drive efficiency and predictability.
Develop and propose communications guidelines, best practices and strategies to consistently keep executive leadership in front of and connected with employees across the globe in a meaningful way.
3. Content development
Thoughtfully develop (or freelance out) and oversee the content for various internal communication channels, including emails, newsletters and other.
Assist in the creation of style guides and brand voice outlines for internal communication channels to support a holistic employee experience that drives company culture.
Build strong cross-functional relationships to effectively collaborate with key stakeholders in HR, legal and executive leadership to ensure alignment, consistency, and clarity in communication.
Support leadership: Work with each business unit on teamwide communications to ensure alignment with the overall tone and messaging. Become a trusted advisor for all internal comms needs to our corporate and business leadership.
Support a community of communications “ambassadors” across the firm that exist in regions and business unitt that can enforce protocols and best practices as well as be an extension of global expectations for employee communications.
Champion new comms approaches, mediums and channels for a remote-centric global workforce.
Understand A&M’s organizational structure, employee communities and use of social media.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience that includes experience supporting and working with c-suite leadership to develop internal communications plans, recurring programs and related for a global organization.
- Working knowledge of corporate internal and employee communications strategies, best practices, implementation and execution.
- Strong stakeholder management skills, identifying and fostering relationships with confidence and ease.
- Passion and creativity for storytelling with the ability to breakdown complex subjects for different audiences.
- Outstanding writing and editing skills and ability to communicate effectively with all levels of employees and management.
- Excellent project management and organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize high volume, high priority initiatives in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
- Excellent attention to detail.
