As we scale our footprint, we are looking for a relentless relationship builder to own the institutional sales engine.
Role Overview
We are seeking an aggressive yet consultative Institutional Partnership Lead to drive top-line revenue through college and university tie-ups. This is not a behind-the-desk strategy role; it is a high-velocity, field-focused position requiring you to open doors at Principal and Director offices, structure MoUs, and close annual licensing deals. You will own the entire funnel: from lead identification and cold outreach to commercial negotiation and account handover.
Key Responsibilities
1. Lead Generation & Market Mapping (The Pipeline)
- Target Identification: Map and prioritize 200+ colleges, universities, and autonomous institutions within the assigned territory based on SG Elevate’s Ideal Customer Profile (ICP).
- Outreach Cadence: Execute multi-channel outreach strategies (LinkedIn, email campaigns, cold calling, and leveraging existing alumni networks) to secure face-to-face or virtual discovery meetings with Principals, Deans, Chairpersons, and Directors.
- Database Management: Maintain a living CRM (HubSpot/LeadSquared/Zoho) with 100% accuracy regarding stakeholder contact details, meeting outcomes, and next steps.
2. Meeting Arrangement & Relationship Management (The Connect)
- Primary Objective: Schedule and conduct minimum 8-10 high-quality meetings per week with decision-makers (Principal/Director level).
- Stakeholder Navigation: Navigate complex institutional hierarchies—starting at HOD level and moving up to the Director’s office for final sign-off.
- Product Demos: Deliver compelling, curriculum-aligned presentations of SG Elevate's offerings (e.g., Tech Skill Labs, Employability Programs, or LMS Solutions).
3. Revenue Generation & Deal Closure (The Target)
- Commercial Negotiation: Structure and negotiate Annual License Fees (ALF) , Per-Student Pricing models, and Revenue-Share agreements that protect SG Elevate’s margins while delivering ROI to the college.
- MoU & Agreement Closure: Manage the legal and procurement process internally and externally, ensuring the timely signing of Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) and Service Agreements.
- Revenue Accountability: Own and deliver a quarterly revenue targets.
4. Post-Sale Handoff & Account Growth
- Implementation Handshake: Ensure a seamless transition from signed contract to the Operations/Academic Delivery team for rollout.
- Renewal & Upsell: Identify opportunities to upsell adjacent SG Elevate products (e.g., moving from a single course integration to a campus-wide AI Lab) within existing partner accounts.
Qualifications & Skills
Must-Have:
- Experience: 0 - 1 years in B2B Institutional Sales within the Indian EdTech, Publishing, or Higher Education ERP/SaaS space.
- Network: Existing Rolodex of Principals, Directors, and Placement Officers in Kolhapur, Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, Ahilyadevi Nagar, is a significant advantage.
- Hustle: Proven track record of generating leads from scratch and converting cold outreach into warm meetings.
- Language: Fluency in English, Hindi is mandatory. Regional language proficiency Marathi is a strong plus.
Should-Have:
- Strong understanding of NEP 2020 and how it relates to industry-integrated credits and skill courses.
- Exceptional written communication skills for drafting formal MoU proposals and follow-up emails.
- Data-driven approach to forecasting revenue.
