Position: Helper – Telecom Fiber Network Installation
Department: ACT Fibre Network
Location: Across Hyderabad
Reporting To: Supervisor/Team Leader
Salary: 10,000 per month
Job Purpose:
To assist telecom technicians in the survey, installation, laying, routing, testing, and maintenance of fiber optic cables and associated telecom infrastructure for Building-to-Building (B2B) connectivity projects.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Assist technicians in laying and pulling fiber optic cables, fixing the OFC in buildings through ducts, conduits, and cable trays.
2. Support installation of telecom equipment, fiber termination boxes, and network accessories.
3. Carry tools, materials, and equipment to work locations.
4. Assist in trenching, duct installation, cable dressing, and cable routing activities.
5. Help in mounting and fixing telecom hardware, clamps, brackets, and cable supports.
6. Support fiber splicing and testing teams during installation and commissioning activities.
7. Ensure proper housekeeping and cleanliness at project sites.
8. Follow safety procedures and use personal protective equipment (PPE) while working.
9. Assist in loading, unloading, and transportation of project materials.
10. Report any site issues, damages, or safety concerns to the supervisor.
11. Support preventive maintenance and fault restoration activities as required.
12. Removing existing fibre and loading new fibre.
Educational Qualification:
Minimum 10th Pass.
ITI (Electrical/Electronics/Telecom) preferred but not mandatory.
Experience:
Freshers may apply.
Prior experience in telecom, fiber optic, electrical, cable laying, or construction projects will be an added advantage.
Skills Required:
Basic understanding of telecom or electrical works.
Ability to work outdoors and at different project locations.
Good physical fitness and ability to handle field activities.
Willingness to learn fiber optic installation techniques.
Ability to work in a team environment.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift and carry tools and materials.
Ability to climb ladders and work at heights as per safety guidelines.
Willingness to work in varying weather conditions and field environments.
Working Hours:
As per project requirements and company policies.
May require overtime or emergency support during network restoration activities.
