Position: Import Documentation Executive
Department: Customs Clearance – Import Operations
Location: Mulund, Mumbai.
About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Import Documentation Executive to join our Customs Clearance team. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in import documentation within the Customs Broker (CHA) industry and possess strong knowledge of customs procedures, documentation, and regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and verify import documentation for customs clearance.
- Prepare customs checklists using Logisys/Live impex software.
- Handle E-Sanchit document uploads and compliance.
- Prepare and file Bills of Entry accurately and within timelines.
- Track vessel arrivals and coordinate documentation accordingly.
- Ensure compliance with Customs regulations and DGFT guidelines.
- Coordinate with shipping lines, importers, transporters, and customs officials for smooth clearance.
- Verify shipping documents such as Commercial Invoice, Packing List, Bill of Lading, Certificate of Origin, and other statutory documents.
- Resolve documentation discrepancies and follow up with clients and internal teams.
- Maintain accurate records of import documentation and clearance status.
- Support the operations team to ensure timely delivery of consignments.
Eligibility Criteria
- Education: B.Com from a Government-recognised University.
- Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience in the Customs Broker (CHA) industry, preferably in Import Documentation.
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of Import Customs Clearance procedures.
- Hands-on experience with Logisys.
- Practical knowledge of E-Sanchit.
- Experience in Bill of Entry preparation and filing.
- Knowledge of vessel tracking and shipment coordination.
- Good understanding of customs regulations and import documentation.
- Strong attention to detail and documentation accuracy.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
- Ability to work under deadlines and manage multiple shipments simultaneously.
Preferred Candidate
- Experience working with a Customs Broker/Freight Forwarding company.
- Good problem-solving and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
Employment Type: Full-Time
Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
