Position: Transport Supervisor
Qualification: Degree / Diploma
Key Responsibilities
1. Transport Operations Management
- Plan and supervise daily bus operations for students and staff.
2. Fleet Maintenance & Monitoring
- Ensure regular servicing, repairs, and maintenance of all college vehicles.
- Monitor vehicle condition, cleanliness and roadworthiness.
- Maintain logbooks, trip sheets, and mileage records.
- Monitor fuel usage and prevent misuse.
- Ensure timely renewal of insurance, fitness certificate, permits, road tax, and pollution certificate.
3. Driver & Staff Supervision
- Supervise drivers and transport attendants.
- Prepare duty rosters and route allocation.
- Verify validity of driving licenses and badges.
- Conduct periodic meetings on safety and discipline.
- Monitor attendance and performance of transport staff.
4. Student Safety & Compliance
- Ensure adherence to safety norms for student transportation.
- Implement guidelines issued by the Government / Transport Department.
- Maintain student transport records and bus-wise passenger lists.
- Handle complaints from students/parents regarding transport.
- Ensure emergency response preparedness in case of breakdowns or accidents.
5. Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain updated records of vehicles, drivers, and transport operations.
- Submit periodic reports to the Principal/Management.
- Maintain accident/incident registers.
Qualifications
- Degree / Diploma in any discipline.
- Knowledge of Motor Vehicle Act and transport regulations.
- Basic computer knowledge (MS Office, record maintenance).
Experience
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in fleet/transport supervision.
- Experience in educational institution transport preferred.
Skills & Competencies
- Strong leadership and supervisory ability.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
- Ability to handle emergencies calmly.
- Good record-keeping and administrative skills.
- High sense of responsibility towards safety.
- Prepare and monitor bus routes and timings.
- Ensure punctual arrival and departure of buses..
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: ₹19,000.00 - ₹22,000.00 per month
