We are looking for an experienced Senior Site Engineer – Civil with strong industrial construction experience to manage and supervise site execution activities. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring that construction works are completed safely, efficiently, within the approved quality standards, budget and project schedule. The role involves coordinating with clients, consultants, contractors, subcontractors, vendors and internal project teams and managing day-to-day site operations. The candidate should have hands-on experience in
industrial civil construction, excavation, PCC, RCC, foundations, equipment foundations, structural works, flooring, drainage and other associated civil works. The Senior Site Engineer will also be responsible for manpower planning, material management, site measurements, quantity verification, billing, quality control, progress monitoring and documentation. The candidate should be capable of identifying site issues, resolving technical problems and ensuring timely completion of project activities. Strong knowledge of civil drawings, BOQ, quantity estimation, RA Bills, construction methods, QA/QC and HSE requirements is expected. The candidate should also be capable of leading site engineers, supervisors and workmen and ensuring proper utilization of company resources. Ideal candidate: A technically strong and responsible Civil Engineer with proven experience in industrial construction projects, good leadership and communication skills, and the ability to independently manage site activities from execution through completion and handover.
Senior Site Engineer – Industrial Construction | Key Responsibilities
- Manage and supervise day-to-day industrial construction activities at the project site.
- Plan and coordinate civil, structural and associated construction works as per approved drawings, specifications and project schedules.
- Supervise excavation, PCC, RCC, foundations, structural works, equipment foundations, flooring, drainage and other industrial civil works.
- Coordinate with clients, consultants, contractors, subcontractors, vendors and internal project teams for smooth execution.
- Prepare and verify site measurements, quantity calculations, BOQ items, RA Bills, work orders and billing documents.
- Monitor actual work quantities and ensure accurate measurement and billing.
- Plan and control manpower, materials, machinery, equipment and company vehicles for efficient site operations.
- Monitor project progress against the approved construction schedule and targets.
- Ensure construction activities comply with approved drawings, technical specifications, quality standards and project requirements.
- Coordinate with QA/QC teams and ensure proper inspection, testing and documentation of construction works.
- Identify site issues, technical problems and execution delays and coordinate with management for timely solutions.
- Monitor material consumption, wastage and project costs to ensure effective cost control.
- Maintain daily site reports, DPR, measurement records, material statements, manpower records and progress reports.
- Conduct regular site inspections and ensure proper work sequencing and productivity.
- Coordinate with MEP, structural, architectural and other engineering teams wherever required.
- Ensure compliance with HSE/Safety requirements and company safety procedures at the project site.
- Lead and guide Site Engineers, Junior Engineers, Supervisors and workmen.
- Attend project coordination meetings and provide regular progress, manpower, material and billing updates to management.
- Ensure proper utilization and protection of company manpower, materials, vehicles, machinery and other resources.
- Support project planning, commissioning, snag rectification and project handover activities.
- Take overall responsibility for site execution, quality, productivity, cost control and timely completion of assigned industrial construction works.
Qualification:
- Diploma/Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
- Min 5-10 experience as a Site Engineer role (Freshers can also be considered if applicable).
- Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and drawings.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Office, and site documentation.
- Excellent communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.
