SyncWorks Technologies Pvt. Ltd. is a Pune-based fintech SaaS company building next-generation solutions for cooperative banks, Patsansthas, and NBFCs across Maharashtra. Our core product suite includes SyncFinnect, SyncLMS (Loan Management System), SyncLOS (Loan Origination System), SyncVerify (KYC & bureau verification), and SynceNACH (eMandate automation). We are looking for a Senior PHP Developer with a strong fintech background who is fluent in AI-assisted development using Claude AI, to build and scale our payment automation and lending platforms.
About the Role
As a Senior PHP Developer at SyncWorks, you will own the development and enhancement of secure, high-performance fintech applications. You will work closely with product, QA, and operations teams to deliver robust payment and lending solutions, and you will be expected to leverage Claude AI as a core part of your daily development workflow — not as an occasional helper, but as a primary tool for writing, reviewing, and shipping production code.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain web applications for SyncLMS, SyncLOS, SynceNACH, and SyncFinnect using PHP (CodeIgniter) and related technologies.
- Integrate payment APIs such as Cashfree, Worldline, Digio, and Razorpay for UPI Autopay, eNACH, and other fintech workflows.
- Implement WhatsApp Business API and SMS APIs for transactional messaging and customer notifications.
- Design, build, and optimize RESTful APIs for seamless fintech transactions.
- Ensure security, scalability, and high availability of all production systems.
- Collaborate with front-end developers to integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic.
- Troubleshoot, test, and debug applications to continuously improve performance.
- Use Claude AI (via Claude.ai, Claude Code, and the Anthropic API) actively in the development lifecycle — for code generation, debugging, refactoring, writing test cases, drafting documentation, and reviewing pull requests.
- Build and maintain internal AI-powered tools, automation scripts, and developer workflows that speed up delivery.
- Stay updated with fintech trends, PHP best practices, and evolving AI development tooling.
Mandatory Qualifications & Skills
- 2+ years of hands-on PHP development experience in the fintech sector (this is non-negotiable — only fintech backgrounds will be considered).
- Strong proficiency in PHP and CodeIgniter framework.
- Proven experience integrating payment gateway APIs (Cashfree, Worldline, Digio, or similar).
- Hands-on experience with WhatsApp Business API, SMS APIs, and notification systems.
- Working knowledge of front-end technologies — HTML, CSS, Bootstrap, JavaScript, ReactJS.
- Strong command of MySQL or PostgreSQL, including query optimization and database design.
- Solid understanding of RESTful API development and security best practices (authentication, encryption, data protection).
- Mandatory: Active, daily use of Claude AI in development work. Candidates must be able to demonstrate how they use Claude AI to write, debug, and ship production code. Experience with Claude Code, Claude.ai Projects, Claude Artifacts, or the Anthropic API is required. Candidates who already build AI-driven workflows will be prioritized.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field.
- Exposure to the cooperative banking or NBFC domain.
- Experience with MCP (Model Context Protocol) servers, AI-agent workflows, or building AI-augmented internal tools.
- Familiarity with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud hosting environments.
