A Loading Supervisor manages the daily receiving, loading, and unloading of goods. They coordinate with warehouse and transport teams, assign tasks to laborers, enforce safety regulations, and maintain accurate shipment logs to prevent damage and ensure timely dispatch.
Key Responsibilities
- Operations: Supervise the movement, stacking, and loading of inventory onto trucks, rail cars, or shipping containers.
- Quality & Compliance: Inspect cargo for damage and ensure goods are properly secured to prevent shifting during transit.
- Documentation: Verify shipped and received materials against work orders, invoices, or bills of lading, and update company inventory software.
- Safety: Enforce strict health and safety protocols (e.g., proper equipment handling, wearing PPE) in the loading area.
- Team Management: Delegate duties to the loading staff, monitor their performance, and provide training for new employees.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Education: High school diploma, bachelor’s degree, or relevant diploma in logistics.
- Experience: Typically 1–3 years of experience in warehousing, dispatch, or inventory management.
- Skills: Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and proficiency in operating loading equipment (e.g., forklifts or pallet jacks).
- Soft Skills: Effective communication for coordinating with drivers, transport brokers, and management
Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
