Trainer – Junior Data Analyst (Financial Services)
Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced and qualified Trainer – Junior Data Analyst (Financial Services) for its skill development training programs in Guntur, Andhra Pradesh.
The trainer will be responsible for delivering classroom and practical training in data analytics with a focus on the Banking, Financial Services and Insurance (BFSI) sector. The role involves training candidates in data collection, data cleaning, analysis, visualization, reporting, financial datasets, and business insights using industry-relevant tools and techniques.
Training shall be delivered in accordance with the prescribed curriculum, Qualification Pack/NOS, NSQF standards, and applicable skill development guidelines.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver theoretical and practical training for the Junior Data Analyst – Financial Services job role.
- Train candidates in fundamental and intermediate concepts of data analytics.
Provide hands-on training in:
- Microsoft Excel and Advanced Excel
- Data cleaning and data preparation
- Data validation and data quality checks
- Pivot Tables and Pivot Charts
- Lookup and logical functions
- Financial data analysis
- SQL fundamentals and database querying
- Power BI / Data Visualization tools
- Dashboard creation and reporting
- Basic statistical analysis
- Trend and variance analysis
- Data interpretation and business insights
- MIS preparation and reporting
- Introduce candidates to financial services datasets such as:
- Banking transactions
- Customer and account data
- Loan and repayment data
- Insurance-related information
- Sales and revenue data
- Investment and portfolio data
- Customer service and operational data
- Train candidates to identify trends, patterns, exceptions, and business opportunities from structured datasets.
- Explain basic concepts related to Banking, Financial Services and Insurance.
- Train candidates on financial terminology, basic banking operations, customer data, and financial reporting requirements.
- Conduct practical assignments using sample financial datasets and real-world business scenarios.
- Train candidates to prepare reports, dashboards, charts, and management summaries.
- Teach candidates how to present analytical findings clearly to business stakeholders.
- Provide basic exposure to Python for data analysis, wherever included in the prescribed curriculum.
- Ensure adherence to prescribed Qualification Pack (QP), National Occupational Standards (NOS), NSQF curriculum, and training hours.
- Prepare lesson plans, session plans, presentations, assignments, case studies, and practical exercises.
- Conduct regular assessments, mock tests, practical evaluations, and project-based activities.
- Maintain attendance, candidate progress reports, assessment records, practical logs, and other training documentation.
- Provide remedial training and additional support to candidates requiring improvement.
- Prepare candidates for final assessment and certification.
- Train candidates in workplace communication, professional conduct, employability skills, and interview preparation.
- Support candidates in developing sample dashboards, analytical projects, and portfolios for employment opportunities.
- Coordinate with the Centre Manager, Training Coordinator, Assessors, and Project Team for smooth implementation of the training program.
- Support placement activities by preparing candidates for roles in banks, NBFCs, insurance companies, financial institutions, BPOs, fintech companies, and analytics organizations.
Qualification
Candidates should preferably possess one of the following qualifications:
- B.Com / M.Com
- BBA / MBA in Finance
- B.Sc / M.Sc in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or Data Science
- BCA / MCA
- B.E. / B.Tech in Computer Science, IT, or related discipline
- Graduate / Postgraduate qualification in Finance, Economics, Banking, Business Analytics, or Data Analytics
- Any other relevant qualification with experience in Data Analytics or Financial Services
Experience
- Minimum 5 years of relevant industry and/or training experience in Data Analytics, MIS, Business Analytics, Banking, Finance, BFSI, or related areas.
- Experience in handling financial datasets, MIS reports, dashboards, or business reporting will be preferred.
- Previous experience as a Data Analytics Trainer / BFSI Trainer / MIS Trainer / Business Analytics Trainer will be an added advantage.
- Candidates with practical exposure to banks, NBFCs, insurance companies, fintech companies, financial institutions, or analytics organizations will be preferred.
Technical Skills Required
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Advanced Excel
- Good working knowledge of SQL.
- Practical knowledge of Power BI or similar Business Intelligence tools.
- Understanding of data cleaning, transformation, visualization, and reporting.
- Knowledge of data interpretation and basic statistical concepts.
- Understanding of financial and business datasets.
- Knowledge of MIS reporting and dashboard preparation.
- Familiarity with Python, Pandas, or other analytical tools will be an added advantage.
- Basic knowledge of financial products, banking services, lending, insurance, and financial operations.
- Understanding of data privacy, confidentiality, and responsible handling of financial information.
Training & Communication Skills
- Strong classroom management and presentation skills.
- Ability to explain analytical and financial concepts in a simple and practical manner.
- Ability to conduct hands-on lab sessions and practical assignments.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to mentor candidates in projects and case studies.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively in Telugu is essential; working knowledge of English and Hindi will be an added advantage.
