Job Summary
As a PGT Economics Teacher, you will plan and deliver effective, engaging lessons for Grades 11 and 12, focusing on microeconomics, macroeconomics, and Indian economic development. You will prepare students for CBSE Board exams, encourage analytical skills, and participate in school activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Curriculum Delivery: Deliver high-quality instruction in Economics as per the CBSE curriculum for senior secondary students.
- Board Preparation: Prepare students for board examinations, including revision strategies, mock tests, and intensive evaluation.
- Innovative Pedagogy: Utilize modern teaching methods, experiential learning, and technology to make complex economic concepts accessible.
- Assessment: Evaluate student performance through regular tests, assignments, and practical projects, providing constructive feedback.
- Mentorship: Mentor students on analytical skills, foster critical thinking regarding economic issues, and guide them in their academic journey.
- Collaboration: Work collaboratively with colleagues, participate in parent-teacher meetings, and contribute to school events.
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Education: Post Graduate Degree in Economics (M.A. Economics) from a recognized university.
- Teaching Qualification: B.Ed. in Education.
- Experience: Minimum 3-5 years of relevant experience teaching Economics in a reputable Senior Secondary School (CBSE/IGCSE preferred).
- Proven Track Record: Experience in handling CBSE Board results is highly desirable.
- Skills: Excellent communication skills (fluency in English), subject matter expertise, and strong interpersonal skills.
