Position Account Manager/ Sr. Account Manager - Group Business(Direct Business ) Function Group Business DepartmentGroup Business Band 4/ 4A JOB SUMMARY: Responsible for achieving the regional targets for Group Term Insurance, Retail through group and other products launched by the Corporate solutions team in the assigned region.Responsible for providing assistance in executing the business plan --- Identifying and acquiring new potential Group Term Life (GTL) clients within the assigned territory through proactive market research and targeted outreach efforts --- Sourcing Non-Employer/Employee, and Affinity business opportunities to expand the client base and increase revenue. --- Sourcing clients directly (without brokerage) and building a profitable Group Term Life portfolio with healthy margins within the assigned territory. Presenting these products to the Corporates, Affinity Groups, and Associations directly.
- Develop the alternate channels to penetrate the Group Business market through MLI Agents, IMF’s and corporate agents. Update the Sales process and maintain the databases as suggested by department in the region. Manage the existing corporate clients and onboarding new clients by taking care of their servicing requirements. Successfully renew the existing and onboard the clients and manage their day to day requirements.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Responsible for implementing sales plan of the assigned region Responsible for achieving sales targets through a select group/Team members Assist in launching Group Business products Enhance market share through new existing clients Account retention in terms of policies and premium Prepare periodic sales reports Generate and maintain activity and assist in developing relationships with corporates/affinity /agents Ensure generation of 40 proposals per month. Develop and build relationships with customers Increase rider penetration Enhance profitability through voluntary tie ups Maintain database on corporate clients and competitor information Update the call reports and any competitor’s information as suggested by the reporting manager Effectively utilize Lead Management tool Continuously evaluate potential of Corporate Solutions Business in the region Develop specific analysis parameters Conduct analysis on the above mentioned potential groups and prepare reports for your reporting Manager in Group Business. Collect competitor information on group business Measures of Success: Actual sales generated vs plan Accuracy and timeliness of sales reports Actual activity vs targeted activity Accuracy of competitor information;up to date data; Identification of potential contacts and conversion KEY RELATIONSHIPS: Internal: Business Heads MLI HR Sales Training Team MLI Operations Team External: Corporate agents ClientsDESIRED QUALIFICATIONS and EXPERIENCE: Any graduate with 6 plus years of experience in insurance industry having good communication, both writing and speaking skills with hands-on working in excel and PPT’s. Strong negotiation and analytical skills will be an added advantage. He or she must be punctual in providing best in class services to all the clients within the TAT’s. Co-ordination plays a key role in retention and new clients Acquisition, as they need to connect with various departments to deliver the committed service expectations to the client .
