We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Service Manager from Automotive Lubricant background to manager and resolve our Automotive lubricant customer complaints. The role involves conducting competitor market analysis, evaluating product performance, and developing strategies to enhance our product positioning. The candidate will work closely with the sales, R&D, and marketing teams to provide technical support, customer training, and market intelligence for business growth.
1. Competitor & Market Analysis
Conduct competitor benchmarking by analyzing their lubricant products, formulations, and performance in different segments.
Evaluate pricing strategies, market trends, and customer preferences to identify opportunities for competitive advantage.
Monitor industry advancements, emerging technologies, and regulatory changes impacting lubricant products.
2. Product & Technical Support
Provide technical expertise on lubricant applications, performance benefits, and product differentiation.
Support the sales team with technical presentations, training sessions, and customer consultations.
Troubleshoot technical issues and recommend product solutions tailored to customer needs.
3. Product Development & Strategy
Work with R&D and product development teams to enhance existing formulations and develop new lubricant products.
Collaborate with marketing to create technical content, whitepapers, and promotional materials highlighting product advantages.
Assess field performance through customer feedback and laboratory testing to ensure continuous product improvement.
4. Training & Knowledge Sharing
Conduct training programs for internal teams, channel partners, and end-users on lubricant technology and applications.
Develop technical literature, guides, and best practice manuals for sales and distribution teams.
Act as a subject matter expert for customer queries, tenders, and technical documentation.
5. Compliance & Quality Assurance
Ensure that lubricant products comply with industry standards (API, ACEA, JASO, OEM approvals, etc.) and regulatory requirements.
Support quality control and assurance processes to maintain product integrity and customer satisfaction.
Liaise with OEMs, regulatory bodies, and certification agencies for product approvals and endorsements.
Skills and Knowledge
Education & Experience
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
8+ years of experience in technical services, product development, or market analysis within the lubricants or petrochemical industry.
Strong understanding of lubricant formulations, additives, performance testing, and industry standards.
