He must be skilled mechanical specialist responsible for the assembly, fitting, adjustment, maintenance, and repair of the metal dies, molds, and tools used in manufacturing processes (such as plastic injection molding or metal stamping). Die Assembly & Fitting: Assemble, align, and fit complex die components (inserts, sliders, lifters) using technical blueprints and precision hand or machine tools.
Maintenance & Repair: Conduct preventive maintenance, clean, polish, and replace broken or worn parts to prevent production defects.
Troubleshooting: Diagnose tooling faults on the production floor (e.g., flashing, poor alignment, cooling system leaks) and execute rapid corrective repairs to minimize downtime.
Machining Operations: Utilize toolroom equipment such as surface grinders, milling machines, lathes, and drills to shape or modify die parts.
Quality Assurance: Use precision measuring instruments (CMM, calipers, micrometers) to inspect dies and validate that the final manufactured parts meet required specifications.
