Job Summary
Chemprocess Solutions is seeking a detail-oriented Draftsman – Civil to prepare, revise, and maintain civil engineering drawings for industrial construction and maintenance projects. The candidate will work closely with civil engineers, project managers, and clients to develop accurate drawings in compliance with project specifications and engineering standards.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare detailed civil engineering drawings, layouts, plans, elevations, sections, and construction details using AutoCAD.
Develop General Arrangement (GA) drawings, foundation drawings, RCC detailing, structural layouts, grading plans, drainage layouts, and underground utility drawings.
Modify and update drawings based on site changes, engineering revisions, and client comments.
Prepare as-built drawings after project completion.
Coordinate with civil engineers, project teams, and clients to ensure drawing accuracy.
Maintain drawing registers, revision records, and document control.
Ensure compliance with applicable IS Codes, project specifications, and client standards.
Assist in quantity take-offs and preparation of BOQs from drawings.
Support site engineers by providing technical drawing clarifications.
Maintain proper documentation of drawings in both electronic and hard copy formats.
Required Qualifications
Diploma / ITI in Civil Draftsmanship or Civil Engineering.
Certification in AutoCAD is preferred.
0–4 years of experience in industrial, infrastructure, refinery, petrochemical, or chemical plant projects.
Freshers with excellent AutoCAD skills may be considered for junior positions.
Technical Skills
Proficiency in AutoCAD 2D (AutoCAD 3D is an added advantage).
Ability to prepare RCC and structural detailing drawings.
Knowledge of industrial civil construction drawings.
Understanding of engineering symbols, scales, and drafting standards.
Working knowledge of MS Office.
Experience with Civil 3D, Revit, or BIM software is an added advantage
