Job Summary:
The ER Shift In-Charge is responsible for overseeing the emergency department operations during the assigned shift, ensuring high-quality patient care for women and pediatric patients. The role involves supervising staff, managing critical cases, ensuring compliance with clinical protocols, and coordinating with multidisciplinary teams.
Key Responsibilities:1. Clinical Management:
- Handle emergency cases related to pediatrics, neonates, and obstetrics/gynecology
- Ensure accurate triaging and prioritization of patients
- Assist in critical procedures and life-saving interventions
- Monitor patient condition and ensure timely escalation to consultants
2. Shift Management:
- Supervise and allocate duties to ER nursing staff during the shift
- Ensure adequate staffing and smooth workflow
- Maintain discipline and punctuality among team members
- Conduct shift handover with proper documentation
3. Patient Care & Safety:
- Ensure adherence to patient safety protocols and infection control practices
- Monitor medication administration and prevent errors
- Ensure proper documentation of all emergency cases
- Handle patient and attendant concerns professionally
4. Coordination & Communication:
- Coordinate with doctors, ICU, OT, lab, and other departments
- Facilitate timely admissions, transfers, and discharges
- Communicate effectively during emergency situations
5. Equipment & Inventory Management:
- Ensure availability and functionality of emergency equipment (crash cart, ventilators, monitors)
- Check and maintain emergency drugs and consumables
- Report any equipment malfunction immediately
6. Quality & Compliance:
- Ensure adherence to hospital policies, NABH protocols, and legal requirements
- Participate in audits and quality improvement initiatives
- Maintain records and incident reports
7. Training & Development:
- Guide and mentor junior nursing staff
- Conduct on-the-job training and emergency drills
- Ensure staff competency in emergency protocols

Pay: From ₹35,000.00 per month
